The Malterie des Hautes Vosges was created in 2017 in Lépanges sur Vologne (Vosges) by several French whisky producers (distiller, maltster and refiner-bottler) in order to meet the malt distilling needs of French operators. With an annual capacity of 1,200 tons, it is based on a revolutionary continuous malting process. The Hautes Vosges Malting Plant produces both classic and peated malt via a direct supply of Scottish peat. It already supplies several French whisky distilleries and plans to double its production capacity within three years.
